Rakugo, Japanese comic story telling

Rakugo is Japanese traditional comic story telling, started about 400 years ago. It is still shown on TV, and local theaters. Rakugo is basically "sit-down" version of "stand-up" comedy. I found the great introduction video done by Dian Kichijitsu, a British Rakugoka. Her stage name Kichijitsu means "good day."

Anyways, she explains how Rakugo depicts situations and actions here.

Ok. Ready for the shows?

"Who's my daddy?" short story

It's fun to see their exaggerated facial expressions and gestures.
